WARNING
Please be aware if you are visiting the GetReal.uk.com web that the posters, although very colourful, are NOT food friendly and may well give the wrong message to our young people around the topic of Healthy Eating. We are aware these posters have also been posted to schools - Warwickshire healthy Schools request these are NOT used. Warwickshire County Caterers have developed posters for senior schools to promote the social aspects of the dinning room experience and can be contacted at Wedgenock House in Warwick.

PSHE CPD Programme

We are now recruiting for teachers who would like to gain a nationally recognised accreditation in the teaching of PSHE.  This course is open to any teacher who delivers PSHE in school and has many benefits including greater confidence in subject knowledge and delivery, raised profile of PSHE in school and better provision of PSHE in school.  The accreditation counts as 30 credits at Level 3 and can therefore contribute to a Higher Education qualification.

Teachers will be supported to complete a portfolio of evidence of their teaching in PSHE and will be able to access a range of PSHE training to support their knowledge and understanding in this area.  Supply cover costs to the school will be reimbursed following attendance at training days and network meetings and the submission of a portfolio at interim.  To register interest in the PSHE CPD Programme for 2008-09, please contact the Healthy Schools on 01926 742005.  If there is enough interest from Warwickshire teachers, a half-day meeting will be held in the next half term for teachers to find out more with no obligation to continue with the programme.  Expressions of interest should be received by Friday 23rd June 2008.  Attached below is the flyer sent to schools.  For further information, please do not hesitate to contact either Becky or Leena on 01926 742005.
